[DeTomaso] Reminder: Monterey Motorsport Reunion Trackside BBQ - Saturday 8/19/2016

Just a reminder, the Monterey Motorsports Reunion is this week!!!  AllPantera people and fellow gearheads are invited to my annual trackside BBQ atLaguna Seca, immediately following the races on Saturday, 8/19.
 

If you'd like to relax and visit with Pantera friends andfellow gearheads after a full day at the races, come by and chill out with abeer, wine, chicken, tri-tip, and other good eats. On the other hand, you couldspend an hour sitting in traffic waiting to exit LagunaSeca...    

 
If you've not yet RSVP'd, PLEASE RSVP (email me directly) if you're planning to comeso I know how much food to buy. Donations gratefullyaccepted.    
 

Date:     Saturday, August 20,2016  

Time:    Immediately following the lastrace on Saturday  

Location: Campsite #85 in Can Am Circle (2nd campsiteon right as you enter the gate at the top of the hill from Highway 68). This isjust up the hill from the club corral, so leave your car in the corral andstroll on over to the BBQ.

If you're attending Concorso Italiano, you may be able tocome in for the BBQ right after Concorso, but no guarantees. A number offolks over the last 2 years came over after Concorso and drove right in - noone was checking tickets after the races on Saturday (they were too busymanaging the exiting traffic). A couple people said one of the gatekeepersstopped them and asked for their tickets, but they just pointed to our campsiteand said "they're just coming for the BBQ, and then leaving" and werelet in. But again, it's a crap shoot. No guarantees that the folks manning thegate will be so gracious this year. Not sure if SCRAMP is still running things...  

 

I'll be flying a DeTomaso flag so we're easy to find.
