[DeTomaso] Leaking Drain Plug

Those plugs are extremely tight even without dried sealant. One vendor has had success using an air-gun set on 'medium' and just letting the gun chatter. May take 5 minutes or more, so be patient. Using a really big wrench, you can see the thin tank bottom begin to ripple & flex- really not good!

Your other choice is to drill it out and with an electric drill and gas in the tank that will squirt out as the bit breaks through, that combo also is all sorts of not-good. Siphoning as much gas as possible out first works. Good luck.

My fuel tank is leaking around the drain plug and someone used a
sealant to install it and it won't turn. Help!
