I concur with Julian on this. But being a Webber man I have been trained to
pump it twice before starting.

"Tail Up" is preferred, it provides for easier access and you can see what's
going. It helps the natural flow enhanced by the pumping action. But as
Larry suggests lead in with some head to get things going.

Initially it is nose up to get the air out of the heads, if this is a
fresh engine install or if the engine has been drained of its coolant,
then you can do the tail up to bleed the cooling system.
