[DeTomaso] Techno question: setting the engine brace bar properly

I assume that setting the upper shock bracket centers for 800mm +/- 2mm is
taking things to serious?

Chuck,

You're close. Jack the car so the rear wheels are off the ground. Install
bar and extend it so it is snug, pressing outward on both sides. Tighten
everything down then lower the car....
