I always did it the way Chuck first described what he thought was correct, suspension loaded, gently tighten.

PS: Bar(s) means exactly the big square steel brace with the central
adjusting nut plus an accessory smaller brace mounted lower and
behind
the normal brace, just over the top of the ZF. {full disclosure}
