[DeTomaso] simple Techno Question: the heater hoses

Dear Forum,

 

 

                 A fellow Pantera owner had a clever solution to the right angle heater hose.    Please see his note and pictures.

 

 

 

      “Instead of using a preformed hose (that is probably not long enough to attach at the other end) I used brand new 5/8" heater hose and the anti-collapse coil in the picture. I don't know - - been 7 years or more without an issue.  Makes the transition and provides abrasive protection in a place where things are close.”

PS:  the local NAPA *did* actually have the right angle hoses on the shelf for about $13 each.   They lads claimed that the NAPA hose is made by Gates, for what that is worth.  They are shorter that I thought, but I expect to join them to the shut off valves.  I * think* that it will work.
