Ok - do you know if the windshield has ever been replaced?
Many times the seat for the windshield is not properly prepared (especially
is rust has already begun) and eventually the seating area develops small
holes. That can be another source and does not require the removal of the
dash to evaluate.

Nope, not heater core. It's not coolant, clean water.

Sounds like the heater core. Should be a fairly simple replacement.

I've heard this is not uncommon. I had a '91 briefly that the guy
pawned off on me in the summer not telling me it leaked like a sieve in
the winter. I now have a '94 F250 that's started leaking from behind
the dash on the driver's side - carpet is soaked.
Any of you guys ever have to deal with this issue? I've head you have
to pull the dash to get to the issue, but not sure what/where it is.
As many '92-'97 F pickups as there were sold, there's gotta be one or
two of you. I love the truck, and really don't want to plunk down a
bunch of money for a cowboy Cadillac. This truck does everything I
need it to, and I get nearly as many compliments on the truck as I do
on the Pantera (it's only got 96K miles on it.
Thanks
