IF you apply the "right hand vector" rule (fingers pointed with flow, thumb indicated vector direction), the swirl tank would have its primary vector going down, with the flow in the radiator entering on bottom and exiting top, its vector would be forward of the car.  Now taking the cross of those two vectors, the resultant would apply to the vent connection and have flow going in the opposite direct (assuming the car is driven north, taking into account for the coriolis compounding)
