Try putting a stud in with epoxy or red locktite, or?? There might be
some threads left deep inside that the bolt doesn't reach.

   ? Hi all
? Much fun had by all this weekend. In the end I decided to let
   sleeping
? dogs lie and left the heater valve shut. Somehow I suspect it'll stay
? shut for quite some time...
? It's really a fantasy of mine to be able to organize a DeTomaso tour
   in
? this part of Spain... I say it's a fantasy because it's simply too
   far
? from the rest of the owners to really make it feasible. Some UK
   Pantera
? owners wussed out on the last Le Mans Classic tour because the
   Dordogne
? region was too far from them, so Spain would be out of the question!
? But the Rioja area is absolutely gorgeous, especially in fall with
   all
? the leaves changing color.. well worth the trip if someone is in the
? area. We had roughly 20 cars participating in this tour - mainly
   ? Porsche, but a real Shelby GT500 (2012) A came along, several
   ? Corvettes, an immaculate NSX..
? Anyway, the only issue I had was that someone helped be finish
   breaking
? my door handle bucket thing. Last year in Copenhagen, some scumbag
? tried to break into the Panteras parked in the hotel parking and
? damaged 5 or 6 locks. They were a heartbeat away from starting Tomas
? Gunnarsson's car... As a result of their heavy hands, my bucket got
? damaged (see photo from last year). During this weekend, someone
   tried
? to open the door while it was locked and the bucket came loose. I
? suspect that the bolt pulled the rest of the way through the
   threads...
? In the past, some vendors (PI?) tooled up to make some out of metal,
? but they didn't have the right curvature to fit in the hole. My
? question - who makes the "good" buckets that look like new and fit
   ? well? Thank you!

Yes, I live in Austin and go every year. I purchased seats before
construction started--COTA's HQ coincidentally was opened a block
and a half from my office. Got lucky.

I had 3 extra seats for sale at my cost and posted them to the list
     first but no one responded.

Would love to meet up with Pantera folks sometime during the
     weekend.

   Jack,
It was fun meeting up for the Pit Walk, luckily had an extra pass for
   Scott.
The whole weekend was great, especially the weather?I was soaked last
   year.
I thought the Vintage F1 cars were way more fun to watch than F1
   qualifying,
they really got after it. I was shocked at how hard they raced those
   great
   cars.
Got lucky Thursday evening ending up at the table next to the NBCSports
broadcast crew at dinner. All three of them are very nice guys and
   were
very gracious spending time with my other friends and I. Got to talk
   with
Matchet about the Ferrari featured on ?What?s My Car Worth? and others
   he
has coming up for sale, Hobbs about is racing career, and Diffy about
   his
illness that took him away from the show for a few weeks (and his new
   Indian
race bike). Scott ended up on the same plane back to LA as Coultard
   and
Button (and girlfriend). Hell of a weekend, can?t wait till next year.

I kind of like louvers, but the ones I normally notice

   deck.
Google "pantera louvers" for examples (not you

I kind of like louvers, but the ones I normally notice
are recessed between the vertical sides of the rear
     deck.
Google "pantera louvers" for examples (not you

Last year I talked to Hobbs at length about racing. We reminisced about

?ultimate fan?, showing up from CA with a broken body and electric

   Our highlight of the Pit Walk was when Gene Haas signed my son?s hat;
at which time he (my son, Andrew) showed Mr. Haas a picture of his
(Haas?) girlfriend on his phone. The look was staggering. His
girlfriend had come into our veterinary clinic in CA and was spellbound
   by the F-1 ambience.
This year we are making a Senna Corner - I got his signature two years
prior to the tragedy. I hope you get to the Senna Museum on Cesar
Chavez (1st. St.). I didn?t know everything in there was for sale! At
least it was this year. Bring a fat checkbook - lol.

     Our highlight of the Pit Walk was when Gene Haas signed my son's hat;
at which time he (my son, Andrew) showed Mr. Haas a picture of his
(Haas') girlfriend on his phone. The look was staggering. His
girlfriend had come into our veterinary clinic in CA and was
   spellbound
     by the F-1 ambience.
This year we are making a Senna Corner - I got his signature two
   years
prior to the tragedy. I hope you get to the Senna Museum on Cesar
Chavez (1st. St.). I didn't know everything in there was for sale! At
least it was this year. Bring a fat checkbook - lol.

Diffy about his illness that took him away from the show for a few

When I installed new door handles after the mishap mentioned below I
installed pieces of threaded rod as studs in the handles, then used
   nuts
to fasten the handle. This maximises the engaged threads in the handle.
Of course, the studs required individual trimming side to side to avoid
   scratching the window.

Try putting a stud in with epoxy or red locktite, or? There might be
some threads left deep inside that the bolt doesn't reach.

    Hi all
Much fun had by all this weekend. In the end I decided to let sleeping
dogs lie and left the heater valve shut. Somehow I suspect it'll stay
    shut for quite some time...
It's really a fantasy of mine to be able to organize a DeTomaso tour
   in
this part of Spain... I say it's a fantasy because it's simply too far
from the rest of the owners to really make it feasible. Some UK Pantera
owners wussed out on the last Le Mans Classic tour because the
   Dordogne
region was too far from them, so Spain would be out of the question!
But the Rioja area is absolutely gorgeous, especially in fall with all
the leaves changing color.. well worth the trip if someone is in the
area. We had roughly 20 cars participating in this tour - mainly
Porsche, but a real Shelby GT500 (2012) A came along, several
    Corvettes, an immaculate NSX..
Anyway, the only issue I had was that someone helped be finish
   breaking
my door handle bucket thing. Last year in Copenhagen, some scumbag
tried to break into the Panteras parked in the hotel parking and
damaged 5 or 6 locks. They were a heartbeat away from starting Tomas
Gunnarsson's car... As a result of their heavy hands, my bucket got
damaged (see photo from last year). During this weekend, someone tried
to open the door while it was locked and the bucket came loose. I
suspect that the bolt pulled the rest of the way through the
   threads...
In the past, some vendors (PI?) tooled up to make some out of metal,
but they didn't have the right curvature to fit in the hole. My
question - who makes the "good" buckets that look like new and fit
    well? Thank you!

Here are photos of what I did.? Studs and lock nuts.? Came out really
clean,?too bad?no one else will ever see them.
If there isn't enough material to hold studs, you might be able to
drill through and put in screws from the opposite side.
