[DeTomaso] Is there a direct bolt by Wilwood for a street Pantera ?

Except for having to add 1/8 inch spacers behind the wheels, I have only had
stellar results with the Wildwood setup I got from Dennis. BUT - it is
critical that you clean up the hubs very well to get the discs to lay flat.
I checked mine with a dial indicator to make sure they were within spec.

I really like the Wilwood setup I got from Dennis about 15 years ago, but it
started out the same way. We broke in the brakes as specified and I had a
shake in the steering wheel under everything but hard braking. We had to
turn the front rotors on the hubs. It didn¹t take much, but they had to be
turned. Never had another problem with them. I ran the car fairly hard
during two 30-minute sessions on the F1 track in Austin in March and never
had any shake or fade. The brakes work extremely well on my car.

Isn't this a problem with overtightened wheels?

I've had this issue a few times after having tires swapped at a shop and the
guy going berzerk with the impact driver. At one time I broke a socket
trying to undo the bolts and I had to go back, and they had problems even
getting the bolts out with the impact driver.

After this I always hand tighten the bolts/nuts using a torque wrench and
has not had a problem since.
