[DeTomaso] Driver's side window motor

Well, I suppose if the gear was jammed it would prevent the motor from moving, but no movement or sound detected from the motor.  Usually when the gear fails, as I understand it, the motor can still be heard, but there's no window movement.
I'll check for resistance first, then jumper the motor from the battery to verify if it's the motor.  Then, I'll remove the motor assembly (window transmission) to inspect those components and check the motor independent of the gear assembly if necessary.
Thanks!

How did you verify it's not the window gear? You would have to open the window transmission to know that.

    Garth,
Do you still have the stock
switches? Few stock switches are still
    working anymore--they have a
 finite lifespan. The stock replacements
    from Wilkinson are notorious for
poor quality (I've held one that was
    broken in the package!). For
years people have used Bosch replacements
    which look almost identical to
stock. In fact so many cars have them
    that many people don't even
 realize they aren't stock!
So, what kind do you have?
