A look at the condition of the car should tell you all you need to know. :)

I can't understand how they could have let a mid-engine 5.7L exotic car compete in a series that was restricted to 5L production pony cars, or 2L sports sedans?

Maybe the fact that his dad was a big shot at Ford, and that he would be nowhere near the front of the pack, allowed the organizers to turn a blind eye.....
