Hi guys,
I'm normally not the kind of guy to pass along these kinds of requests, but
I've decided to make an exception in this case.
A fellow pilot in my Air Force Reserve squadron is facing a nightmare
scenario. He and his wife adopted a child and three months later, unexpectedly
had twins, which was a very joyful thing for them. Unfortunately, not long
after his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer, and now it has spread
throughout her body and she is terminal.
He is faced with the prospect of being a young, single dad with three
toddlers to raise. Since he's a pilot for UPS as well, he is moving the family
down to southern California to be near his wife's parents, who will become
the caretakers of the kids when he has to be away for work. Apparently she
is now in the last stages of the disease and her end looms all too near.
He has wisely chosen to stop working, in order to sell his house (likely at
a loss) and move his family, and spend the last few months or weeks
together as a family. In recognition of the financial hardship he is
experiencing, the pilots in the squadron have created a GoFundMe campaign to collect
donations to help defray the considerable expenses he is about to incur.
While all of us are often asked to donate to various charities, there is
always the knowledge that some of that donation (often most of it) is consumed
by various overhead and administrative costs. Your donation to this cause
will go directly to him to help him in this time of need. To donate,
simply click on the link below and follow the instructions; your credit card
will be charged in accordance with your wishes.
No donation is too big or too small--it is all greatly appreciated.
