I didn't get Bob's response I think the list server is still acting up.

I ran Virginia City Hillclimb in 2009, been meaning to run again but always seemed to be out of town, maybe this year will be the year now I'm retired (well that's what they called it when they laid me off last October!).

I ran it in the Ultima and had a few teething problems wit the cable shifter, plus they wouldn't let me run slicks my first year running. I ran a respectable 3:43, if I recall the best overall run of the weekend was 3:26, but the big hurdle is to get below 3:41 as the highway used is HWY 341. The challenge is they won't tell you your run times until the Sunday evening banquet.

All the Ferrari folks were a bit put out as the red Ultima attracted way more attention than the other red cars! Folks were waiting with helmets in hand trying to bum rides up the hill. One girl probably regretted that when her driver put his brand new Z06 over the edge, luckily he went straight down the Canyon and didn't roll, but still totaled the car. Another Ferrari F355 challenge car ended up upside down on fire after a rear tire blew out, fortunately the driver was fully kitted out and only received minor burns. I decided an open car with minimal roll over protection was not the ideal vehicle to be pushing it any harder, but it sure is a fun event.
