Worse - with the wrong taper they like to back off by themselves and by
the time you notice,
there will buggered threads on the studs and you'll need new underwear.
The spare on my old Beamer had a different taper and the lug bolts were

Thanks for the heads up. I am putting the Bassett wheels on the car and
they have a 45 degree head which is why I want to have a new set of lug
nuts after I get the tires mounted on the new wheels.
