[DeTomaso] Condenser relay

Good morning Nick. Aside from the possibility you got a bad relay, the only
other thing I can come up with is the fact that the condenser fan fights the
ambient air pressure gradient when these cars are cruising at speed. Folks
have commented in the past that the air-flow through the condenser (with the
fan going) deadheads around 80 mph. My work with pressure gauges and
anemometers confirmed this observation. Easiest way to reduce strain on the
fan (and the current it draws) is to reverse the wires going to the fan.

Hope this makes sense and perhaps helps.

Nick,

More info please.

Is it a stock relay or a modern replacement?

Stock location, inside the cabin?

Stock fan?

I don't have any answers but more info might help the electrically smart
people come up with the answer?

Mike
