Agreed!  Get the Pantera Electronics EIS and it will cut off the AC whenever you romp on it so you get those ponies back and working where you need them most.  And add a trinary switch to protect your AC system.

A/C cutoff controlled and monitored by vacuum rather than rpm with many
other features built in..
Trickle charger, ignition retard during start, electric fuel pump control -
low rpm setting + cutoff if engine is no longer running, etc etc..
