[DeTomaso] POCA business on this forum

Thanks Rob. Having been on the BOD for POCA as well as my neighborhood, and working in aerospace project management for many years, I know from experience that there is a lot of "sausage making" that goes into any process for change. Any one element of that process taken alone and out of context, and presented to a wider audience not directly involved, can easily take its' own path down the rabbit hole and end up doing more harm than good.

The volunteer BOD for any entity such as POCA takes on an often thankless task of trying to figure out what is best for the interests of the organization at large. The fact that there was/is so much that needed tending to in the POCA infrastructure only increases the challenge of coming up with solutions which will appeal to the majority of the membership. There will always be those who disagree, and we are all proud to say we live in a society where they are indeed free to express those opinions, but please, try to do so from a fully informed, non-derisive perspective. Ask your questions of those who are directly involved (the members of your POCA board), or better yet, get involved and become your own agent for change.

Let's do our best to support their efforts, offer our opinions and suggestions in a constructive manner through the means provided to do so, and help the Board do its' work for all of our benefit. Then we can get back to using this forum to help us all keep our Panteras out there delighting the masses and ourselves in the process.

OK, ENOUGH OF THIS. This forum is NOT a POCA based entity and, because of this, is not subject to the one-sided rigors of acceptability as applied to the Club Website and its forum by the existing POCA hierarchy. Within the realm of common decency, people are free to post their opinions on any subject matter. This is still America.
I am personally sick of the chastising and branding that has transpired in recent months. I am done with the double speak (think Ministry of Truth) that calls people who were moderately content with the club "malcontents", while the ones who seem to have loathed everything about the club and NEED to change it all are now self identified as "progressive".
If you don't want to be exposed to any dissenting opinions, stick to the safe, protected POCA .COM forum. Everything is just wonderful there.
