[DeTomaso] Hub Centric rear wheel spacers

Terry,

Hall Pantera sells a bolt-on spacer like you describe although I don't think it is hub-centric.

The red Euro GTS that conked out in France the other day is fitted with a similar, European produced version that is guaranteed to be of the highest quality because its approved for use on Swiss roads and the Swiss vehicle inspection is notoriously tough. I will get that manufacturer info for you.

Personally I hate the idea. Besides looking weird, I think it places undue stress on the suspension components. The Swiss car is already suffering from axle wear on one side. While this is a common failure and so can't be entirely blamed on these spacers, intuitively I think they probably exacerbate the situation.

Save your sheckels and get a nice set of repro 10-inch wheels from Marvic and that will solve all your problems. :)
