[DeTomaso] Make Designation in California?

 I had assumed that Panteras were labeled a Fords, but neither of mine are.  I noticed that the registration lists the make of my 72 as Pantera, and my 73 import (called a 75 on the registration) as DeTomaso.  Is that the common for all Panteras?
