Speaking of bulbs...
Here is a drawing I started to help me identify bulbs. (I need to finish
one day)

The red break/tail bulb is a dual filament bulb, with two contacts on its
base. It is commonly referred to as an 1157

The red or amber (USA or Euro) signal bulb is a single filament bulb, with
just one contact on its base. It is commonly referred to as an 1156

While initially they appear to be very similar, closer inspection shows the
contacts, the filaments, and the locking tabs on the metal base are all
different.
