Hi, all you US Pantera fans.

A friend and I in the UK have just acquired chassis THPNLP 02290. It`s an ex US 1971 car, with 32,000 miles showing, newish red paint (originally green), a Californian specialist dealer`s name on the title but no other history.

The car has pull-out handles, of course, but is a good, sound, rust free early car which drives well and feels like it has been loved all its life.

We would love to know more about its past life. Our giveaway clue is the presence next to the instruments, with its own neat little cowl, of a gauge to tell you the temperature of the oil in the transaxle. Only an anorak, surely, would fit one of those, and anoraks do tend to join the club...

Any leads much appreciated.

Thanks,

Douglas Blain.
