What about the Marti reports list ? Will that information become part of the proposed POCA registry ?

It's funny the way Yahoo email wrapped the forwarded text, one line I really had to look at is:
"heoretically own anything"
I was trying to figure that out till I saw the lone "t" at end of the prior line, LOL
Anyway, I like Chuck and think he has done a real service. It doesn't make much sense to build a new registry, and I image some people will be put off by the attitudes and not submit info to the new registry. Some people have complained that Chuck's site is difficult to navigate through, and I have to admit I have been a little frustrated by it at times, but for a free site, it's great. Maybe if POCA just provided a guide to using Chuck's site, it would be a good result?
I was a POCA member but was really disappointed by the mostly social content of Profiles, and got really ticked off at Mike Drew on another issue, so did not renew. If Profiles gets to be like the old PI Quarterly, I'd probably join. I still feel burned because I got zero issues after I renewed my membership to PI.
It is my personal opinion that Michael Shortt is not the easiest guy to get along with. When he made what I considered inappropriate posts a few years back, I sent an email to him only, with my opinion, and he did not appreciate my point of view. Maybe he has mellowed, but I can imagine a bit of a "my way or the high way" attitude coming out. I can see how Michael and Chuck may clash a bit.

He also provides free access to that registry for the simple task of a submission, a tactic which has allowed him to amass well over 4,000 entries. POCA has what, less than 1,000 members to enter their details? I think it will be some time before you can categorically state that 'yours' will be better, and as you state it "will be for the other registry members use only" that predicates a POCA membership, thus to say it is not for monetary gain is a contradiction in terms. The Shelby American Automobile Club is licensed from Carrol Shelby, they don't theoretically own anything and it took law suits to get it all straightened out.We are lucky that Santiago De Tomaso or whoever owns the De Tomaso marque neverchooses to get involved!I respectfully disagree that POCA needs to own the registry and it hasn't seen that need for the past 45 years. If your vision is truly to break down divisionswithin the marque then you I recommend you embrace what Chuck and others beforehim have achieved and not be bickering over who owns what and is bigger and better. The Provamo registry is currently THE foremost collection of Pantera information anywhere, period and should be recognized as such.Don't forget this is an open forum not POCA, if you want the forum that 'needed' to be owned by POCA it's on their website and the last post was 3 months ago..... so I will continue to us my time how I see fit to voice my opinions, even ifI am the 1% minority, when everyone conforms it is no longer a democracy.Julian________________________________From: Michael Shortt <michaelsavga at gmail.com>Sent: Friday, February 26, 2016 6:56 AMTo: Charles EnglesCc: Julian Kift; detomaso at poca.com; Garth RodericksSubject: Re: [DeTomaso] Coming POCA RegistryChuck was asked ( 4 times ) and declined to work with us or integrate his with ours.Furthermore, ours will be much better, with far more information ( if you choose to upload yours )The Registry needs to be owned by POCA and carry on long after we are all dead,Shelby owns theirs, as does every marque club.It is not a business, it is not a money maker, and it will be for the other registry members to use only.Things are going to be changing for the better, perhaps if everyone would use their timeto improve the process ( like offer items to include ), it would go better.I can tell you that once the final version comes out for members to use, it probably won't be changedfor two reasons, 1) those whom have already submitted their car(s) out would have to do it again, 2) the expenseof making those changes.
