Dear Forum,

There is a Pantera for sale in Oklahoma.

Chapter One: a lady contacted Kirby Schrader about some help
selling her Pantera in Oklahoma. Kirby referred her to me. She owns a
nice Pantera and did advertise it in Hemmings, but disliked the calls and
the questions. She doesn't want to put it through an auction. She says
that she would like to sell it to someone in the club. I offered to help.

Chapter Two: she is a California Corvette Girl. She has
owned several over the years and has owned more than one at a single time
and owned a very early Corvette that was featured in more than one Corvette
magazine. Despite this she did buy a Pantera. She has sold her stable of
Corvettes in the last few years. She now only owns the Pantera.

Chapter Three: She believes that the first owner was Peter
Revson and continues to try to find documentation to support this assertion.
The previous owner was George Embry. She bought it from him in 1975 in
California. It has never seen rain. It is VIN 5500 and is now in the
Registry. It does have some Revson aftermarket parts on it. The Hall
Pantera site has an entry in May of 2014 (?) where Bev Hall notes that there
have been several "Revson" Panteras claimed over the years due to his
association with the dealership. She says that he did own a Pantera, but
she doesn't know how many he owned. There have been several Pantera owners
who thought that they owned a "Peter Revson Pantera".

Chapter Four: In 1997 she moved for family reasons to
McAlester, Oklahoma. Before leaving she had a major service done by
Wilkinson for several thousand dollars. She has the receipt. Since it
has been in Oklahoma she has driven it only about 390 miles. It currently
has about 38.5k miles on the odometer. She obviously doesn't drive it
much. It is kept under cover in a garage.

Chapter Five: The amateur inspection was done a few weeks
ago. The pictures are on the Pantera Registry website. I did not take a
proper full picture because the conditions of the carport hindered such
shots. In review, it is a very well maintained, straight, rust free white
Pantera. It is extremely clean. It is not stock. It does have the
Revson pinstripes. There are aftermarket headers; valve covers and air
cleaner. The interior is stock, but does have a Hall (or Revson) center
console arm rest. All interior surfaces are without blemishes. The
driver's seat did develop some wear and it was swapped into the passenger
position and the passenger seat is doing duty for the driver. It does seem
to have incongruous PreL seat belts. It doesn have some spray insulation
of the engine bay. She does have the full tool kit and inflator.

I did not drive it. She
started the car and it fired right up without protest or delay. The exhaust
note suggests an aftermarket camshaft and exhaust. It quickly settles into
a calm idle although with a little bite. IIRC, all gauges worked.
Headlights go up and down. Front trunk and rear tub are in excellent
condition. Engine shuts down properly.

Chapter Six: This lady knows the Pantera market. She
will discuss sale with serious offers beginning at $150 k. I am just the
messenger. I am not the broker and I have no financial involvement. She
requests interested parties to contact me to act as a go between . It is
also on Chuck Melton's Panteras For Sale site. I have about 40 pictures
and I am attaching two.

                                 Warmest regards, Chuck Engles
