[DeTomaso] POCA on Facebook

I agree, Ed is on the right path. No one here is saying anything about shutting down the forum or email groups. My main goal is boosting membership. I spoke to my wife this evening who is a FB user and it has advantages for organizations like ours in being able to reach new people.
Everything is searchable it seems and the ability to buy advertisements that can be directed to Pantera enthusiasts could help boost the membership. I asked her about postings, multiple postings, controls, etc and it all seems to fall into making sure your settings are what you need them to be. And being aware of what controls you have available to you.
My thought was if we send stuff to the POCA FB...i.e. here is a tech session going on...wine tour or whatever it will show people how active the club is around the country and world for that matter.
Ed, I do not know the first thing about FB, my wife will have to show me but I will give it a try if it helps boost membership. If you have one set up for Space City send the info my way. I will give it a shot.Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat and whatever else can wait though.

You folks have got to understand that we are an older crowd here. Facebook
is a younger Demographic that we would reaching out to. As Ed Mendez has
noted that we also have a twitter account, then there is instagram, for
another Younger demographic. These are all just younger modes of
communication just like our old rotary phones used to be, technology just
keeps marching on. So there are now web pages, Facebook pages, and who
know what will be next. If we want to appeal to a younger market, we need
to be available on these newer communication modes. Lets at least give Ed
credit for putting us out there if some younger folks want to share our
passion, at least we can be available. We can always mail them a magazine.
