There are two scenarios as I see it for the future of Facebook a) be scared,
be very scared or b) anyone remember MySpace?

I put a post on the email forum, then 10 minutes later I get 3 notifications
from Facebook for that same information. Then someone comments on it and it
appears on FB all over again! It's like living inside an Alzheimer's dream!

And there we go with statistics again; that assumption correlation =
causation crap, just because someone posts a few photos of Panteras on FB
doesn't cause the price to increase; holy shit my dog would be worth
millions if that's the case.

In between all these Pantera notifications I dig through other FB posts and
unravel a few untruths where someone's put a caption on a photo and feels
the need to 'share' the shit out of it without any due diligence, just
because it's on FB it must be true right!

And now there's the targeted advertising, search for something on any site
and there it is on FB, well I can tell you I'm already fed up with ad's for
dildo's and blow up dolls.

I understand about the multiple posts, that would be my fault. :-) I'm the
guilty party. I'm a Facebook over achiever I've been told.

Myself, I Like a few 100 pages, not all Pantera related, a lot of hot rod
and chopper pages and other cool stuff. I get 1000s of posts daily but they
go to my newsfeed. The posts that are done across several Pantera pages only
go on your newsfeed and not on your own page. There are settings in FB to
allow or disallow posts. You can limit the number. You can also subscribe or
unsubscribe to which ever pages you want to.

I feel multiple pages has been a good idea; to saturate FB with Pantera
stuff, this has in turn brought more publicity and recognition to our cars
and has increased value.

It's also brought a worldwide group of us enthusiasts together. Heck I
didn't know there was a Pantera Club of Japan or the likes of Junika Okada
and the awesome work he does over there.

The point of my email was to get folks on FB if they aren't already and to
ask each chapter to get active and promote their own FB page, this has and
will grow membership. That's the bottom line - grow and get people
interested. All the pages are there already (for the chapters)

So yea I sometimes post the same message to many of the groups and pages at
the same time. So everyone does get it. All good, I'll try not to cross post
so much. ;-)

Lack of unity is Facebook, but Facebook is a tool to unite all that love
this car.

We even have a Twitter account I just don't have the time... @pocausa
