[DeTomaso] POCA on Facebook

My gut level tells me that Ed is doing the best he can with what he has to work with.  I like getting his e-mails because I can view them and delete them quickly.  Do I want more of them - well, likely not.

I dearly wish there was one overarching source for information.  I remember all too well when I was first starting on 5332 - the only way to really get a good answer was to call Pantera Performance - GOD BLESS Dennis, Becky and Adam!  They answered so many dumb questions, never once came back with RTFM or any other wise ass comments, and are the biggest reason that 5332 is what she is.  I am in hopes that the upgrade to the POCA site will resolve this issue and make it easier for newbies to get help!

Is this a good idea? One thing that I think is negative for communication is that there is a certain lack of unity or coordination on FB. There are a dozen DeTomaso pages that have a fair amount of activity. If you have a message that you want to make sure that everyone gets, then you need to cross-post on a half-dozen pages. People who subscribe to those pages get the same message a half-dozen times, which gets annoying. It happens now, and it will only get worse if people keep generating new FB Pantera pages.

It would be as if there were 6 E-mail fórums. Most people would belong to several, but to reach everyone you need to post to them all. I don't see the advantage in splintering the DeTomaso world into ever-smaller grounds, but I do see disadvantages.

What do you think?
