I wasn't thinking in that vein when I replied, you have a very valid point to cut the fuel pump in an accident. You can also get a cheap inertia switch as used in modern cars.
I had the right front tire blow out on my F250 , it went with enough force to trigger the inertia switch which is located in the quarter panel behind the right wheel. I couldn't figure out what had gone wrong for 10 minutes or so, then it dawned on me.

You can use the oil pressure switch to act as a safety device so that the
pump does not run if there is on oil pressure following an accident.
But remember you will need to have a by pass switch to fill the carb up
before starting.
I do this on my motorcycle to make it EZer to start after sitting a long
time.

My personal preference is for Aeromotive fuel pumps, are you looking for a
bypass system (fuel tank return line) or non-bypass?
I would not bother wiring the fuel pump into an oil pressure safety switch
as the volume of fuel in the carb bowls will be enough to have destroyed
your engine long before the fuel pump cutout starves it. If oil pressure
loss is of concern I would opt for an Accusump or similar system that can
compensate for oil pressure swings combined with an ignition cut out oil
pressure safety switch.

My Titus block build is about to start and it was realized that the block
was not machined for a mechanical fuel pump like I expected. Call it blind
faith vs. Murphy's Law. The engine will be in the 600 HP range with an 800
CFM carb. Any suggestions for a trouble-free electric fuel pump that can
be wired for safety into an oil pressure sensor shutoff?
