[DeTomaso] starting cold without the use of the choke (NPC)

A few years ago I got roped into being the pit monkey for my friend with his
full race Alfa TZ (Tubolare Zagato). Car ran fine at 7000 feet, but at
Sears Point it would not start. Some Alfa guru older than dirt came along
and watched a few minutes . . . reached in and pulled on the enrichment
levers and the buggar fired right off. Learned something about Webers that
day.

I worry about running a motor overly rich and washing down the cylinder
walls and don't run chokes on any of my junk. Once the motor fires on all
cylinders I would turn the chokes off and warm the oil in the driveway.

YMMV
