"They" say it's more fun to drive a slow car fast---- I once had a great time chasing Panteras down "my road" (Red Mountain pass) in my turbo Miata.

We all must misbehave occasionally !

Keep the rubber side down.

Roaring through the SoCal mountains is one of my favorite things to do
in my Pantera. In ten years of ripping up the pavement on these
roads I never had someone sneak up and start tailing me. Never even
once. Until last month. I'm doing a casual, yet brisk pace going up
the mountain and this tiny little car with tiny little "HotWheels"
tires comically sticking out of it's wells starts catching up to me.
I step down a bit harder and I lose this little squeaker. C ya. For
a few seconds, that is-- then it comes right back up on me. What
the hell? I step back down and keep 'er there for a bit. Same thing
again. I lose sight of it for a bit and then there it is again, right
back on my butt. Well then, let's see what this kid can do. I hit the
throttle and go just about as fast as it's safe to go, given the road
I'm on, which commonly has nuts on bicycles going up and down with
precious little room to pass them. I lose this little white mouse a
bit longer this time but, sure enough it started catching up to me.
Well screw it. I can't go any faster than this or I'm gonna deal a
death blow to some bicyclist huffing 'round a blind corner. Done. I
pull over at the next turnout. Get thee gone, vile rodent! Enough!
You win!
