[DeTomaso] radiator place says they can't make or get a new core for stock radiator

Jack,

The stock radiator is shrouded on the sides and top by external pieces that your car should have.

The Hall radiator is a drop-in replacement for the stock radiator.

So if you don't have the side and top pieces, the problem is with your car, not your radiator. Do you have them now?

Aside from the extra weight, of which I don’t care too much about, It seems the aluminum radiators get cracks at the welds and leak - not all, since I currently have one w/o leaks. The Hall Radiator seems very popular but I wanted a shroud to “focus” the air. So here is where I need more info: feelings about shrouds. A good friend that does a lot of off-road racing absolutely swears by shrouds and I don’t think the Hall unit is shrouded. If people agree about the importance of a shroud, and Hall radiators don’t come with them, I guess I need to find someone that can build a shroud for it and incorporate the fans. I THINK - open ears here. I have also contacted The Brassworks as per another List email. They told me they built one for a Pantera owner and gave me his name, and I posted it here on The List, but no response so far.
