[DeTomaso] L bumper stops wind noise ?

I always thought the L-bumper was a designer "tip o' the hat" to
celebrate the unique look of the duckbill platypus. In addition to
eliminating wind noise/buffeting, the L-bumper also serves to function
as a link from one front corner to the other so that when the car is
involved in a front corner collision, the opposite corner also
receives equivalent damage, which is a very clever design
characteristic to ensure that the un-crashed corner does not miss out
on all the fun.

Isn't wind noise a property of an object's inefficient movement and
speed in
air and that's why no one never hears a golf ball until it hits you.
Speaking about golf balls did any one ever see the Myth Busters
episode
where they put golf ball dimples on a car and actually made the care
more
efficient. But who wants to drive around in a car that looks like a
golf
ball that would be as bad as having s goat for a pet,,, no one wants a
goat
as a pet.

malarkey.
