Ed et al,
What I don't see mentioned in your summary of the BOD meeting is who the club's printer will be. Will you return to the former printer? The consideration of a printer change was the motivating rationale for Jack DeRyke and Mike Haney's resignation. As they both will be returning to their positions does that mean the club will be returning to the use of their former printer? Or will the plan to proceed to the new printer with ALL COLOR publications for $8,000. less per year continue? I'm sure we all wish the BOD to always entertain the BEST quote and now we know it is possible for the club to save $8,000. a year for ALL COLOR in BOTH publications.
Laurie's <OO> eyes are watching!

Roland, since even before MS was elected, he has been threatening members
with lawsuits apparently as a form of intimidation. His recent comments
directly state he intends to destroy POCA as an organization, I assume for
his own pleasure or personal gain. I was not present on the call and did
not hear the context of such a ban, but if any one person's actions were to
not warrant such an outcome of being banned, what other behavior would have
to take place before it would reach that level? That is an open question
for everybody to decide personally.

Is it more civil to degrade and intimidate in order to get others to quit
or to set standards for expected behavior and let those standards apply to
all members? The third option is to allow toxic behavior to fracture the
club which is what has been happening the past 7 months.

MS added me to his list of people to sue along the way as I was called a
"Backstabbing Motherf$!@er". I can live with those petty threats, I just
choose not to. Setting standards of decency that do not allow bullying and
threats seems like a good idea to me, but I am just one opinion.

One issue with not banning for life, is that a soon-to-be x-member would still have access to club data, (like a roster), e-mail
addresses (to poach members) and the website and 'forum'(to harass and intimidate with hate speech).

As MS has publically stated he will destroy POCA, and stated he has created a competing club
it would be more than necessary to remove him from any and all access to anything related to POCA.

Apparently his last survey was sent to a list of people that may have still unknowingly supported him, but I suspect that e-mail
list came from data he had access to, while POCA Prez.

With the recent announcements from POCA (Big thanks to Ed Mendez, POCA PR) regarding BOD officers
and re-filled positions, I see GREAT progress!

The BOD is even adopting what good ideas came from this disaster, which is professional and cool-headed thinking. Now THAT is
Progressive.

Another issue may be if Michael stays with the club, does he then become past President and still has a seat on the Board??

I think a ban is the sign
 of a healthy club.

 It?s no
different than having a bouncer throw someone out of a club
 when
 they cause problems.

I don?t know about the ?for
life? part, though.? The ban should be written
into the bylaws.? It should include the
 conditions, a BOD vote, a term -
 like banned
for X years, and maybe banned from elections for X years
 vs.
 banned as a member.

Owned a 73 Matra 530 Sport car while working in Grenoble. Loved it!

Fiberglass midships coupe Ford V4 1700cc 75hp 104 lbs 4 spd transaxle 109 mph max 2,000 lbs wt.

Lot's of fun driving between Grenoble and Geneve each month. Loved the torque, didn't like Alphas on the road.

Customs agents hated me.

Lot's of fun driving between Grenoble and Geneve each month. Loved the

Good question but since he was removed by action of the board, I don't think he qualifies for a seat.
I'm sure the POCA board will not allow it.
The whole thing was very sad and uncomfortable and if there is peace now, that's good. Im sure the board is ecstatic to have the total saying in all issues again.
