[DeTomaso] List vs forum and so on.................

Thanks to Kurt for stepping up to keep this list going. Regardless of
how forums send emails notifying us of posts and what-not, I know I
won't be using anything where I have to click a link then log on and
dig through stuff. I only do that whenever I get stumped with a
non-Pantera problem and it's not a social thing at all. You can't
replace having Mike Drew, Jack DeRyke, SOBill and many other brilliant
guys just an email away with dead-solid, reliable input. You ask
something and you know they are going to be there. With a forum, who
knows? Maybe when they have time they go digging and read things,
maybe they don't. This list has been an enjoyable part of my day for a
long time now and whenever it goes down, glitches or gets quiet, I bum
out. I actually enjoy all the arguments and off-topic rants.
Definitely a lively bunch we got here, just like the Pantera itself.
One way or another, I hope we keep the list alive. I've been a member
of other email groups (yahoo and gmail) for many years now and I've
never heard of anyone working their butts off to keep them going. Been
a moderator myself a few times. Not a big deal. Someone tires of it
and someone else steps up. I just like knowing you guys are all out
there reading this list. We are a brotherhood of sorts. This list is
special, it is close up and personal. Be a shame to lose it by
hand-cuffing it to POCA.
