I have tried and used all the polyurathane based tank sealers over the years , from eastwoods to POR15, and others ,
the best by far for all around use , motorcycle tanks , car tanks plastic and fiber glass etc is the buna N aircraft tank slosh coatings , these even work well to seal internal bladder type fuel cells. they are available from other sources but attached are the 3 i like best from aircraft spruce .

    Thank you
for selling me such a great product!  As I mentioned,
 it's
    worked great for 10
years.  If only the rest of the car was as
    rust-free...
    I'll check out the Eastwood
product and see if I can find it locally.
    Thanks!

    Chris,
You bought the gas tank from me,
 it was sealed by Precision
    Proformance, so you could ask
 them.
    Eastwood also sells a
 gas tank sealing kit:

 gast-tank coating question

    Hi folks,
      I
need some advice.  When I bought my refurbished Pantera gas
 tank
      years ago, it had been
coated and sealed with something (I'm not sure
what).  That was 10 years ago
and I've never had any problems with
    it.

Now, my son's classic Mini has rust in its
 tank, so I'm planning on

removing it, cleaning it out, and then coating
it in the same way as
      the
 Panera's gas tank.
      I
went online and saw someone using Red-Kote and someone else
 using
      POR-15 (I think
 that's what it was).
      Do
any of you have any suggestions for which coating is
 best--and one
    I
can pick up in a local
auto-parts store? (I want to take care of the
tank this weekend) The tank is
 about 10-gallons.
      Thanks
 for your help!

    Sincerely,

    Chris
