News to me, there's a pax side Torino mirror repro:
http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/store/p/13890-Side-View-Mirror-Sport-Passenger-Side-Manual-Repro-1969-1973-Mercury-Cougar.html
"Only" $189.77
Here's an original pax side base only, for $125.87
http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/60373-401-jc.html
That's Ferrari money !
The part number on the bottom, D10B - 17713, is the same I had on the car & also the same as two sets I saw on eBay ( in ~10 years )
Probably will get more hits, not necessary cheaper price, if I search on "Torino" not "Pantera".
That's all, thanks,
GD

While we're in the 'hood, here's a driver side Vitaloni "Californian" mirror for $1400:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/252338619471?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

A bit of trainspotting, but this is the one where the forward mounting screw is hidden once the mirror is installed.  Later(?) Californians have both mounting screws visible once the mirror is installed.
I've got a used set of the former, but my elbow hit the pax side while washing the car and it broke.  Might be a good time to sell its mate.
Also somewhere I've got a NOS set of the later style.
The irony of course is that what I really want is stock mirrors ...

That's kinda interesting.  I'd totally forgotten about the set screw
deal, but that's the arrangement I have, I went to the garage to
confirm and yes no mounting screws show once the mirror is installed,
only the set screw is visible.
Actually found these mirrors at Kragen's guess I ought to have bought
more if there's a demand now.

Guys,  false alarm--turns out the mirrors I sold have an integral
  base
(as I thought) as opposed to GT5-style mirrors which do have a
  separate
base that the mirror attaches to....
    Thanks for your insights!

    Hi guys,
I sold what I thought was a NOS pair of Vitaloni Baby Turbo mirrors

Can somebody please confirm how these mirrors are normally attached,
and did I, in fact, screw him over by selling him incomplete mirrors?
And does anybody have a source for the missing parts, if in fact they
    are missing?
    Thanks!
