[DeTomaso] Vitaloni mirrors mounting?

That's kinda interesting. I'd totally forgotten about the set screw deal, but that's the arrangement I have, I went to the garage to confirm and yes no mounting screws show once the mirror is installed, only the set screw is visible.
Actually found these mirrors at Kragen's guess I ought to have bought more if there's a demand now.

Guys, false alarm--turns out the mirrors I sold have an integral base
(as I thought) as opposed to GT5-style mirrors which do have a separate
base that the mirror attaches to....
Thanks for your insights!

Hi guys,
I sold what I thought was a NOS pair of Vitaloni Baby Turbo mirrors to
a friend in the UK; they were still in the original box. However, I
never looked at them closely. Apparently there is a (metal?) base that
attaches to the car, then the mirror slides into this base and is held
in place with a setscrew. He got the mirrors, but no bases.
Can somebody please confirm how these mirrors are normally attached,
and did I, in fact, screw him over by selling him incomplete mirrors?
And does anybody have a source for the missing parts, if in fact they
are missing?
Thanks!
Mike
