[DeTomaso] Rear Glass

My glass had the same thickness as the original. Maybe it isn¹t double
pane. I told the glass shop what I needed, and they said, ³Oh, you need
double pane safety glass.²

The bummer was that I polished the original glass, and it looked perfect. I
broke it while I was reinstalling it. That¹s why I had to buy new glass in
the first place.

Kirby I may have used the same guy you used. The shop is Woodlands Car
Care, on Budde Rd, just south of Sawdust.

Short answer: yes. I used my OEM 1972 rubber gasket with no problems. And
you get to choose whether the secondary pane protrudes into the cockpit or
into the engine bay. The distance is about 1/4" so its no big deal.

I
had double pane safety glass made at a local glass shop. Mine was
cracked, so
they could use it as a template.

It was cheap too - under $100, if I recall
correctly.
