 Short answer: yes. I used my OEM 1972 rubber gasket with no problems. And you get to choose whether the secondary pane protrudes into the cockpit or into the engine bay. The distance is about 1/4" so its no big deal.



Does the double pane fit in the original rubber?

I
had double pane safety glass made at a local glass shop.  Mine was
cracked, so
they could use it as a template.

It was cheap too - under $100, if I recall
correctly.
