[DeTomaso] Hood vent location

I too would not want to cut an unmolested hood. It seems lately that bone stock cars are up in resale value over slightly modified ones.

I may block off my vents just to run a test on water temperature difference.

I have a Colgan bra that has the holes in it for hood vents, so they
must have had a standard location position. Let me know if you need me
to .measure where the holes are in the bra, surely an actual hood is a
  better measurement source if
  Somenody steps up,
Personally, I guess I would try to talk him out of cutting up his car
or convince him to buy another hood in either metal or fiberglass for
  this experiment.
Paint them both and always have the original hood unmolested.

Hi A friend of mine in Australia needs to know the exact location of
where to put the hood vents here is his email below. Please let me
know the measurements of where they need to be cut and I'll pass it
    onto him thank you. Ed
Hi guys. My 74 car is in the shop for fresh paint and I've taken the
opportunity to have a set of Hall Pantera hood vents put in the
front to assist with airflow through the radiator.
Problem is knowing where to put them. Clearly they need to be
positioned to allow optimal air flow so can someone help me out.
Maybe run a straight line accross the hood from the front or rear of
the vents and then measure up the side of the hood to the front
corner. Then it will be easy for me to get it right..
