Have you ever talked with your friend about recommended heat treatment of 30
year old magnesium wheels?

Would the wheels he is making be heat treated to "F", "T4" or "T6"

.T4 = 16 / 24 hours at 400 / 420 °C, air cooling. T6 =  16/ 24 hours at 400
/ 420° C, air cooling, then 8 /16 hours at 180 / 210 °C.

F= Raw casting  -  T4= Casting after T4 heat treatment  -  T6= Casting after
T6 heat treatment

My friend who is the owner of Marvic Wheels in Italy  <http://www.marvic.it>
http://www.marvic.it has just informed me that the molds are complete and he
is ready for production on the new Magnesium Campagnola Pantera GTS 10x15
and they are now taking deposits.

 

These are the molds for the long rib design, he will complete the short
alternating rib design as well shortly. If the pictures do not come through,
email me I will resend to you.
