Is there any trace of the original color on that thing, 1974 US GTS models
only came in three colors,

60 were Silver/Black, 60 were Burgundy/Black and 30 were Yellow/Gold /Black

     Patrick,
That hole doesn't look like it's in the right place. I have a 74
U.S. GTS and I don't remember the clock hole being that close to the
dash vent. I'll know for sure in a couple hours when I get home but
I believe the clock on a U.S. GTS is directly in front of the
passenger. Also, the hole looks kinda crude.
Not to mention the U.S. GTSs do not have the Isis (DeTomaso
insignia) in the speedometer and tach like this one does.
Which isn't to say they haven't been changed, but only the U.S. GTSs
     have GT in the VIN.

A This period was a shadowy period, as GTS 1974 models were discarded

A smog tests emission control in California in 1974, so de Tomaso
   decided
A to put all remaining "old" 1973 chassis A as 1973, and not 1974, (
