[DeTomaso] Steering rack spacers

Hi,

OK, thanks to all for suggestions, will do this and try to get arms parallel
to the ground.

As well, once the new rack (it is the one for $119 of e-bay) was installed I
find steering very direct (no play), so GOOD, but at same time VERY stiff.
Basically, the wheels will not return alone to straight and also, when the
car is on the lift, it is really hard to move the wheels from left to right
by the hand.

Hove someone had similar experience with this racks?
Should I try to loosen the adjustment screw that is on the rack; I seen it
was painted over so supposed the rack was properly pre-adjusted?

I recommend that you check the angle of the steering rack arms to the
ground.  If they are close to parallel, your about as good as you are going
to get.  You are aiming for parallel to the ground.
