[DeTomaso] FW: Pantera THERMOSTATS??

I have question about installing the brass restrictor plate.
Is there a desired depth it should be down from the flange?
Besides the top hat reducing the hole in the plate when hot, does the outer body of the thermostat bell make contact with the plate?

I just saw that it was missing the top hat.
That’s cool if it works for you!!

If by Not Correct, you mean it's not a Robert Shaw, you are correct.
It is the same design as Ford used. Part # D5UZ-8575-A
I've run this same style since 1975 in my 1970 Mustang Mach One 351C-4V
and I have one in my Pantera. with substantially (2x more) power and I
truly struggle to reach 180-190 even in Savannah Georgia in the summertime.
Use for works for you,

According to your picture, it does not look correct.

Thank you all for the education. The one thing worth noting on the ebay ad, is that the seller says the "special plates" required for the 351c are not included. he doesn't use the term hats, but I suspect he is talking about the same thing?
