[DeTomaso] Thoughts about this fuel injection system ?

That's my experience. It'll start, but sometimes it takes a while if the
engine hasn't been started for a couple of months. Something that ONLY
happens if there is salt on the roads I might add! But it does happen from
time to time even during driving season

Sounds like you start up regularly Bill, or have an electric pump.
Depending on storage temp, the float bowl(s) dry up in 4-6 weeks and you
have to wait for a mechanical fuel pump to refill them before anything
good happens.
