[DeTomaso] Cylinder Heads leaking

For a compression test you need all the valves properly operating in
order to get air into and out of the cylinders.

You need a well charged battery.

You need to block OPEN the throttle bodies on the carb.

Before moving to any other conclusions, you need to perform the test
correctly. Then come back, give us the results and we can give you more
advice.

You should be able to get a hose into the spark plug hole of #4. Do NOT
use one of those compression testers that you have to "hold" into the
hold. Get one that has a longer hose that screws into the spark plug
hole and remote gauge. These work much better, will allow you to get
into all the spark plug holes and give you more accurate readings.

Something like this:

From any good auto parts store.
