[DeTomaso] Fuel injection system and brakes question

I already have a "bomb" that is trying to get me killed (dying, no start,
bad brakes, stinking of fuel right behind me, overheating) :)
I am trying to get a bit more reliability like my Camaro that gets me
wherever I need to go and having just to watch out for big trucks and
trains.
Oh, how I wish I would have let my father install the fuel injection 23
years ago :(
At least now it is a better system available, one hopes.

clearing that up.
For what it is worth, I went with Trick Flow heads and inlet
manifold -
manifold is a bit high-rise to get longer runners and increase
lower-end
torque.

****From what I've read, there should be no difference in sound
between a
4bbl fuel injection system and a 4bbl carb. The people who have
commented
that the lope was tamed have all installed IR injection systems. I
have to
wonder if a Weber would do the same? The conclusion that I took was
that
individual runner design reduces the lopinesss
