[DeTomaso] Engine compartment finish

That reminds me of a funny story the west coast guys might find bizarre:
Here in NJ, in the fall, I kick up acorns into the engine bay from the road.
Some land atop the intake manifold.  Some settle in between the header
primaries...it smells like I'm roasting chestnuts.

I have never used my trunk insert, and it seems like air flow up through the
engine bay makes her like a rolling vacuum cleaner, with all the dust
settling out in the engine bay. My smooth finish cleans up with a swipe of
the duster, my friend with the textured finish bay requires compressed air
or a garden hose.
