[DeTomaso] First Pantera color

My 1974 Pantera started out as Yellow, but turned electric blue in 2004.

Funny story:  I purchased the car two years ago from a local high performance used car dealership.  Last month, I was checking the registration and a friend pointed out that the car was registered as a "low speed" vehicle.  I had just driven it about 30 miles at speeds that exceeded the posted interstate limits by a considerable amount.  In Miami, that means that you are just keeping up with the normal flow.  My friend pointed out that the "low speed" designation was for golf carts and other road legal vehicles that could not exceed 25 mph.  He also pointed out that if I were stopped with that kind of registration, at least on the highway, the car would be immediately impounded as it was not legally registered to go the posted limits on the highway (it was ok for side streets).  I drove home that day at the posted limit and held my breath.  Next day I want to the DMV and found out that when the car was registered to me someone input 2P in the body style, which, as it turned out, was for "low speed" vehicles.  I showed them a picture of the car and everyone agreed it probably could go faster than 25 mph and they changed the registration to 2D (which means 2 door).  Problem solved without too much trouble.

FWIW - My Pantera is yellow, and still wears it's original paint - God and Alejandro's favorite color on the Pantera!
