We need a new NPC topic........ that surely can't get as bent out of shape as recent ones.

<a Racer Magazine daily bulletin Monday, 09 March 2015 "Ford has yet to release any official pricing information for its upcoming Ford GT supercar. However, Car and Driver reports that Ford performance chief Dave Pericak indicated at the Geneva motor show that it would be priced competitively with the Lamborghini Aventador, which carries a base sticker price near $400,000. Such a price would make the carbon fiber monocoque Ford GT – which will be built in Canada by Multimatic – the most expensive car ever sold under the Ford name.C&D also quoted Pericak as saying production of the 600hp twin-turbo V6-powered car would be in the “hundreds, rather than thousands,” making it a far more limited-edition model than the previous Ford GT of 2004, of which some 4000 units were built during a two-year production run. That car carried a price tag of $150,000."

So with a $400K price tag it doesn't look like it will be replacing my Pantera anytime soon. Truth is I'd probably opt for the 2005/6 Ford GT anyway with it's much closer roots to the original GT40, capability to tune to an easy 700HP and all important V8. Yes I'm old school, but then if I wasn't I wouldn't have a Pantera or two.
